The context
- A medical testing laboratory in Agadir, with its patients and referring doctors
- Results handed out on paper, appointments and prescriptions handled by phone
- Health data: security and confidentiality are non-negotiable
- French- and Arabic-speaking patients, mostly on mobile
What we did
- Secure results portal, connected to the laboratory's management system
- Doctor area to view their patients' results
- Back office: appointments, home sample collection, quotes and adoption tracking
- Appointment booking, prescription upload and PDF quotes with QR code
- Installable app (PWA) that works offline, in French and Arabic (RTL)
- Automatic alerts in case of outage
The results
- In production: Next.js, Firebase, 37 cloud functions, about 36,000 lines of code
- Patient journey digitalized end to end: booking, sampling, results
- −70% time spent writing internal procedures, thanks to AI tools
- 291 commits over 16 months of continuous development
